The coming year will see Invitations By Hand slowly revealing itself across the South West of England. We have made a good start with products displayed at Lupton House in Churston (www.discoverlupton.com), and we are looking at Autumn and Spring fairs for the coming months. The feedback so far has been excellent, and the ranges growing daily as I sit in my new studio space, with a beautiful view, inspired by the gorgeous weather and non-stop flowering that’s going on.
I’ve also been lent a professional foiling machine from a printer friend who is sadly winding down his business. the scary looking machine produces deeply foiled wording, such as ‘Wedding Invitation’, RSVP’, or whatever the piece of stationery is. Opinion is divided about whether or not it is necessary, but I have to say it is great fun to do – although a little scary as the machine heats up to over 100 degrees, and slightly addictive, as I want to hot foil anything not nailed down!
If anyone would like to add anything to the foil/not foil debate, I’d be interested to hear your thoughts.
